At $work, we need to see if we can work around known issues with MSIE 8
and good old fashioned dot matrix printers printing receipts.
Know anywhere/one I can borrow/rent one from for a day or two?
Otherwise, we just might have to buy one.. ($329 on Amazon..)

Also perhaps UTC IT, or local electronics recycling location. nd =============================================================== From: Cameron Kilgore ------------------------------------------------------ Another perfectly good opportunity to make money gone down the drain... --Cameron =============================================================== From: Dee Holtsclaw ------------------------------------------------------ We've got an Alps ALQ-324gx up here that's only used occasionally. It emulates an Epson LQ-2500 if that's close enough to what you need for testing. Tom or I will have to ask about borrowing it but that's not likely to be a problem. I will say that I have my own drivers for dot-matrix printers under Windoze and run everything in raw mode. Trying to use a printer's built-in fonts tends to crash winspool and nothing short of a reboot fixes that. Microsoft seems to think there's no legitimate need for a matrix printer any more. =============================================================== From: Tom Wilson ------------------------------------------------------ =============================================================== From: Ed King ------------------------------------------------------ the crunch was priceless |
